Yes. PrecisionCode PLUS has been designed with this in mind. Through a simple interface between the two products, data can be exchanged to create a seamless , transparent process for checking the codes against the necessary rules. Of Course, PrecisionCode is always available to replace other reference tools or "look-ups". It contains all the functionality and it doesn't need an interface.
PrecisionCode has been designed to accommodate inexperienced users with a "point & click" process. It accommodates experienced users with direct code entry and search. Such users may be physicians, coders and any other authorized office personnel.
The software contains thousands of edits from simple age/gender edits to more complex edits that challenge busy practices every day. It checks for bundling, unbundling , required modifiers, specificity levels, proper RVU sequencing, etc. The bottom line is the checks every edit, for every code, every time... and does so automatically. Equally important, it prompts the user for coding alternatives to ensure maximum allowable changes all within approved CCI guidelines. Yes. A wide variety of reports can be produced displaying CPT codes or ICD codes as well as many iterations of RVU reports. Reports can be specific-provider based or cover all providers. The "User's Guide" contains instructions for report utilization.
Updates are available quarterly and can be obtained via a CD or over the internet.
