With wired.MD®, Cognecy offers a series of solutions for all types of practices and clinics from solo practitioner family practices to significant multi-specialty physician groups. The right solution for a practice is usually dependent on three differing criteria including initiatives, platforms and budget. These three criteria are always key as they answer the questions of what are the practice's patient education goals? What ways can the practice deliver patient education? What patient education can the practice afford to implement? Most practices and clinics have interest in implementing a patient education system that allows them to educate more of their patients, to provide education before, during and after encounters, to increase patient compliance and satisfaction and to save time via workflow efficiencies. wired.MD's mission is to help practices meet any or all of these initiatives with the streaMed® product suite. Practices also often have varying platforms independently and within a facility. These three main platforms for educating patients include computer systems, websites and traditional TV/DVD players. Each platform is another avenue for a practice to educate patients with greater effectiveness and/or efficiency. The streaMed product suite includes the following solutions for each of these platforms within a practice or clinic: streaMed - Clinic - Provides web-based health videos, handouts and websites for computer systems. This is the most ubiquitous solution as it provides the entire video, handout and animation library from wired.MD for use both on all computers in the practice exam rooms and at the patients' homes. streaMed Website™ - Provides integrated health videos and handouts for practice websites. Practices often utilize this solution in conjunction with streaMed to help educate patients and site visitors on seasonal conditions, preventive health topics and procedural preparation via the practice website. streaMed DVD™ - Provides customized health video sets for individual dvd players. Practices use this solution as an initial introductory option to educate patients in a patient education center and in settings where the existing hardware at the practice is a TV/DVD player.
